A selection of Italian and European public laws is already built in, and every day the system checks at the source whether the Italian national ones have changed: if a law cited in the documents you import changes, you get an alert. You upload ISO standards and other paid standards yourself, to respect the license: the text is visible only to license holders, and the agents work with it the same way. You can support multiple schemes for the same client and build one integrated management system, instead of keeping each standard in a separate tool.
Your documents are stored in Europe
The document archive and the database are hosted on AWS, in Frankfurt and Stockholm; the platform runs on servers in Finland. When you use the AI features, including reading documents on import, the text is sent to Anthropic and Voyage AI, which also process it in the United States, under standard contractual clauses and without using it to train their models. All providers and processing locations are listed in the data processing agreement (in Italian).

The control room
- Every client's deadlines in one view, sorted by real urgency and not by client.
- A health dot per client, worked out by the system rather than by eye.

Documents
- Upload PDF, Word, and Excel: the text is extracted and handed to the agents.
- On a bulk import the system recognizes the code written in the file name; with the default coding scheme it also looks for it in the document header.
- Document versions and codes follow your firm's coding scheme.
- Once approved, generated documents export to Word.
Standards
- A selection of public laws already loaded, starting with Italian national laws.
- An automatic check every day on the Italian national laws in the collection, to see what changed without you having to ask.
- Paid standards you upload yourself: the text stays visible only to license holders.
- One document can answer to several standards at once, not just one.
The agents at work
- The Analyst compares a company's documents against the requirements and writes up the gaps it finds.
- The Drafter writes procedures, and every citation is checked against the text of the standard before it is allowed to stay.
- If a citation cannot be found, the section stops: better a declared gap than an invented source.
- Upload a few of your firm's procedures: the system derives a writing profile from them and applies it to every draft from the Drafter.
People and data
- The director sees the firm's work broken down by consultant, and assigns each company to whoever follows it.
- Nonconformities with their corrective actions, to which you can assign an owner and a due date.
- Whoever opens a nonconformity, requests a report, or generates a document stays on record.
Why I built bSCnorm
For years I worked alongside Agata Mento - a go-to name in management systems consulting, as well as my mother. I watched her prepare for audits, rewrite procedures, handle several companies at once, and check by hand, line by line, where everything was written. That's where I learned the trade.
bSCnorm had been on my mind for a long time. At some point I stopped putting it off. I built it to give the consultant a tool that brings order to their work instead of adding to it - one that handles the repetitive part and leaves the judgment calls to them, because that's what the client is really paying for. Drafts stay proposals until they sign off on them.
